Creek Site Improvements for 2025

Our staff and contractors are busy this winter making substantial improvements on our creek side sites. The remainder of the sites will have concrete pads similar to what we did for sites 1 thru 9. Most importantly, though all creek side sites will be converted to Full Hook Up(FHU). We are adding one more buddy site and we are adding 4 Premium Plus sites that will include an extra large concrete patio, built in fire pit and pergola. We also are improving the poor drainage that has affected these sites as well. These sites will be the best sites in the Park.

THE FORKS OF THE ELKHORN -

MILES OF ADVENTURE

The two forks of central Kentucky’s Elkhorn Creek join at Elkhorn Creek RV Park to form one of the state’s best-known streams for its beauty and fishing, canoeing and kayaking. From the Forks of Elkhorn to its end at the Kentucky River, Elkhorn Creek provides 17 miles of nature and adventure.

RV sites

We have an assortment of well-maintained sites for you to choose from that include full hook up sites, electric and water only sites, a few pull-thrus for easy access. and free Wi-Fi throughout the park. Children can play on the playground or test their golfing skills with our Putt-Putt golf.

One of the main reasons people love our property is our proximity to Elkhorn Creek and its activities. Some of our RV sites literally rest on the banks of the creek. This makes us an ideal location for people who love to kayak, canoe, fish and enjoy the sounds of the water.

We have all the amenities you will need to have a fulfilling and enjoyable RV excursion or camping trip!

"Elkhorn Creek RV park is a very nice place for long term rentals as well as vacationing. My hubby and I were there for the last 6 months. Clean, quiet and right in the middle of the Bourbon Trail. Steve and all the staff were very friendly, helpful and treat people with kindness and respect. The bath house is immaculately clean as well as the laundry. They have entertainment and food trucks on the weekends under the pavilion. We found the folks in the Frankfort area to be sure nice. Be sure to go to The Ark, area distilleries and buy some bourbon balls from Rebecca Ruth’s!"

"We loved our week at Elkhorn Creek RV Park! We have stayed in 5 campgrounds since mid August and Elkhorn is by far the best. We met several of the office staff as well as grounds keepers and ALL of them were so helpful and made several suggestions of things for us to see and do. Although we didn’t use it (too busy), the pool was large and clean, and the bathrooms are the best EVER!! Always clean, no matter what time of day I used them. Someone was always cleaning inside or outside or doing yard work most of the day. The sites were a little close, but all campers were friendly and respectful of others concerning noise, etc so it wasn’t a problem. We hated to leave, but needed to continue our adventure. We highly recommend and would definitely return!"
